Photography Workshop

We are super happy and excited to announce that the official photographer for BF 2016 is Sheona Beach of Sheona Beach Photography. Sheona has kindly offer to donate her services to us. If you don’t know how much professional photographers cost, trust me it’s a HUGE donation, our biggest to date and one we could never possibly afford to buy. Thank you so much!!!!
Sheona is a wedding and portrait photographer working out Melbourne. Here bio and some portfolio pics are located on her website. http://www.sheonabeach.com.au/

Sheona’s photography is superb, outstanding and so beautiful. The imagery is stunning.
Sheona also has an extensive training back ground as well and using those skills has written a book for doll enthusiasts titled The Doll Photography Cookbook. This is aimed at beginners who want to take better photographs of their dolls. This is available on her website http://www.sheonabeach.com.au/buy-the-doll-photography-cook…

Sheona hasn’t only agreed to be our official photographer, she has also offer to do a 1 hour workshop for beginners with great tips and hints on how to photograph your dolls in the manual mode. Sheona will set up a small photo booth for dolls. You will need to bring your DSLR camera along to Blythe Fest to be able to participate. First come basis, space permitting.
As I said a HUGE donation but that’s not where Sheona’s generosity ends. Sheona has also offered a wonderful prize for Most Photogenic Doll, a concept she brought to us. Sheona will choose one doll from those at Blythe Fest that she feels she would love to photograph in the theme of Fairy Tale. I have asked her to be the person to choose this winner as Sheona is not a doll enthusiast and will be choosing solely based on what she thinks is wonderful, using her keen photographers eye. This photography session will be done towards the end of Blythe Fest and the winner will receive a matted doll portrait by Shoena. This will be posted to the winners home so that they can display their winning art piece with pride. Everyone attending has a chance to win this wonderful prize!
So that’s
Official photographer
A photography workshop – using your DSLR in manual mode
Photography Prize – Most Photogenic Doll
All donated by Sheona! Wow what can I say it is a lot to donate and we are so thankful. Truly, words cannot express our gratitude. Please do visit Sheona’s site and give her a call if you have any photography needs and you may like to purchase her book! The Doll Photography Cookbook.
We’d also like to thank Robynne Talbot-Scobie for putting us in contact with Sheona. You see they are sisters, both as generous as the other. Much love and thanks to you both!
Cheers Naomi xx
