Vendor Showcase 9 - Blue Moon Blythe

Hi I’m Ruby, and I run Blue Moon Blythe, an up and coming Blythe clothing and accessories store.

I started collecting Blythe Dolls in late 2012 and haven’t stopped making things for them since. I have learnt a lot of new skills through crafting for Blythe and am very excited to be using them to make products for Blythe Fest this year.

My stall will include items such as crocheted beanies and bunting, sewn dresses and skirts and special fairy tale themed items. All of my products are made by me using patterns I have created or altered.

Blythe Fest Vendor Showcase 8 - Girls Wear Blue Too

Hi my name is Tammy
My shop is Girls Wear Blue Too - Pretty things for Blythe Dolls
In my Shop you will find a range of clothes that at the moment are predominately for the Middie Girls. I knit, sew and crochet.
At blythefest, on my table, you can expect to see a nice range of crochet dresses, lots of knitted cardis and sweaters for both big and little girls. Also some pants and T's for middies and possibly some sewn dresses too. I follow my creativity where it leads and at the moment yarn has my heart.
I first discovered Blythe in about 2009/10 when quite a lot of my online friends became enamoured with her and I honestly couldn't see what all the fuss was about, that is, until around the middle of 2011 when her charms started to woo me, and before the end of that year I had my first girl. My dolly family has grown and shrunk and grown again in the intervening years and at the moment consists primarily of Middies but I do still have two Neo's.

Finally Mel of Dragonmels has sent this amazing dolly custom. Mel has created a unicorn girl with amazing soft pink and mauve mohair re-root. Her unicorn horn is removable and she comes with the gorgeous outfit in the pictures. Mel also sent along several sets of realistic eye chips and some cutie pie stickers sets. I discovered Blythe dolls a few years ago whilst I was researching for ideas for Cloth Art Dolls that I also make. These big eyed girls kept popping up onto the screen, I was absolutely amazed by the versatility and range of these wonderful dolls. I researched for quite a while and joined a lot of forums and groups before I built up the courage to buy my first one. And well as you know, it was probably the most exciting day when that parcel arrived and that feeling you get when unwrapping her for the first time is kind of similar to the day you take your new baby home from hospital – well your world just changes for ever and there’s no going back ;)
I have fallen in love with Blythe dolls and the community and support that comes along with it is like no other I’ve come across before. It is a wonderful and very rewarding hobby, and I’m so grateful every day that I stumbled across these little girls with big personalities and their big eyes xx

How I discovered Blythe...

I joined an Aussie Forum for My Child dolls, and saw a separate group for Blythe.

Curious, I initially thought: Wow, look at this big eyed, big head doll, I’m not sure if I like her or not...

but the more I discovered, the more I liked, especially older ebl/sbl custom girls...

and I fell for Blythe forevermore 

I’ve always been partial to darker/gothic/vampire customs, but also love a cute bright girl too.

Hi we are Sally Thorne and Katie Saarikko, we are Tokyo Thrift.

Tokyo Thrift is all treasure, no trash. We are selling good quality second hand sundries, many of them sourced during our frequent trips to Tokyo. We’ve been buying and hoarding dollywear for years and we’re having a massive clear out!

You will find:

The Tokyo Thrift sale table will have a cool yard-sale vibe and reasonable prices. We’ll have plenty of change for purchases large and small, giveaways for kids, and to make paying easy we’ll offer EFTPOS and Paypal. Come by near the end of the day and see if we’ve made any reductions on remaining items, too!

This is a one-off event so we don’t have a website, but we will share sneak peeks of stock ahead of time on Instagram @My_Soul_Hole and @Saarikkoxo

Here are the donations we have received so far. It may seem like lots but we have to fill a minimum 100 Welcome Bags and we would love to have everyone take home something extra from the raffles and such. Not to mention prizes for competition winners.
